Community Grants
The Town of Erin supports local non-profit, charitable, and youth organizations by providing financial assistance to not-for-profit organizations, through the Community Grant program. Grants will be allocated to a maximum $3,000 per application per budget year.
Councillor Cheyne put forward a motion, which was unanimously supported by Council, to increase the amount of Community Grant funding for 2025 from $20,500 to $30,000.
The deadline for applications is Jan. 31, 2025.

Shamrock Awards
With the recent outpouring of love and support for the shamrock, I am anticipating an overwhelming response to the call for nominations for the 2025 Shamrock Awards. It only takes a few minutes to submit a nomination to recognize those making an impact in our community.

ROMA Conference - Rural Ontario Municipalities of Ontario
Now I am off to Toronto to attend the ROMA conference. This year’s event is themed Rural Routes, and offers educational programming, expert panels, and keynotes, all from a unique rural perspective and the day-to-day realities of local municipal leaders. It looks like a great program this year and should be very informative in such a politically dynamic time.
